Part 2: Building the Body – The Next Stage in My Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Model

It’s been a little while since I worked on my Chitty Chitty Bang Bang model, but I’m excited to get back into it! This time, I’ve been working on the body of the car—specifically the sides of the spot where the seats go. This is a really important part because it’s starting to make the model look more like a real car. The next stage will be attaching the top of the seats and the windscreen to this part I’ve been working on, and then it’ll all connect to the chassis we built earlier.

For the straight cuts, I used my trusty craft knife, a metal ruler, and a cutting board to make sure everything was nice and neat. Some of the curvier bits were tricky, so I needed a little bit of help to get them just right. Even though it’s been a busy time for me with other projects, it feels great to get back into this one and see it coming together. I can’t wait to show you how it looks in the next stage—stay tuned for more updates as we keep building Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!
